How do you find high-quality STL files of game characters without running into broken geometry, missing textures, or models that need a lot of repair work before printing?

I’ve been there - downloading what looks like a perfect game model only to spend hours patching holes and fixing non-manifold edges before my printer will even touch it. After enough failed prints, I learned to check two things first: user-uploaded print photos and whether the file was designed for FDM or resin. That’s when I found out about 3D Printable models that come pre-supported and pre-tested; Gambody for example has a whole section dedicated to game characters where each STL is printed and checked by their team before release. No surprise repairs, no missing texture folders - just clean geometry and clear printing guidelines. It saves me from that sinking feeling when a three-day print fails two hours in because of a hidden mesh error.
