History The Village at Big Bear Lake has been around since the 1940s when it began as a small cluster of cabins along the waterfront. Over time it grew into what we now know as The Village – an inviting place where people can come to shop and play while enjoying stunning views of the lake. In recent years The Village has undergone extensive renovations that have created a unique shopping experience with many amenities including free parking and Wi-Fi access throughout its streets. Hours & Stores The Village at Big Bear Lake is open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm during peak season (usually May through October) and 11 am to 5 pm during off-season (November through April). There are over 50 stores located in TheVillage ranging from gift shops offering souvenirs to sporting goods stores offering outdoor gear for any adventure you may be planning on your trip.
