SB County Planning Meeting Study of Impact of STRs on LTRs 9-21-23 at 5 PM in Big Bear City

The Video above is a recent presentation made at the Senior Citizen Center in Big Bear Lake, California. Many home owners and citizens of Big Bear City and surrounding communities attended. Big Bear Lake, CA - The County is undertaking a comprehensive study to assess the impact of short-term rental activity on renter households and the availability of long-term rental housing in mountain and unincorporated desert communities.

During each meeting, the County has been sharing the progress made so far and encouraging community participation in the study. The presentations have covered various aspects, including the background of the study, the data sources and methodologies employed, market trends related to short-term rentals, preliminary findings, requests for community input, and the planned next steps.
