Dogs aren't alone. Here is a list of Big Bear's public offerings when it comes to bathrooms.

Cities across the country are starting to recognize the importance of providing public bathrooms for their citizens. From providing a necessary service for those in need to helping to reduce public health issues, cities are beginning to see the benefits of installing public bathrooms in their town.

Public bathrooms provide an essential service to all citizens, regardless of their financial status or circumstances. In areas where there are not enough public restrooms, citizens can be found relieving themselves in public areas, which can lead to a variety of health and safety issues.

Providing public bathrooms also helps to reduce public health issues. Having adequate public restroom facilities can help to reduce the spread of disease and the potential for water contamination. Proper sanitation is essential to prevent the spread of illnesses, and having public restrooms can help to ensure that everyone has access to adequate hygiene facilities.

Public bathrooms can also help to improve a city's overall quality of life. Having access to public restrooms can make it easier for citizens to go about their daily activities without worrying about finding a place to use the restroom. This can help to make a city more attractive to tourists and businesses, which can help to boost the local economy.

There is a small park by the main Marina by the post office that has public restrooms restrooms.

Most Retail businesses have public restrooms you can use. On the North Shore, restrooms with water open when it stops freezing (Meadows Edge, East Boat Ramp). Pit Pots may be open earlier: Juniper Point and Baldwin Lake Reserve have pit pots. I can't remember if Woodland Trail has pit pots or with water. Pit Pots are also known as vault toilets. Nowadays, the pit is actually a cement or plastic tank/vault sunk into the ground. A toilet seat sits on top; everything drops down into the tank. No flushing involved, so no water is needed.

If you know of additional public bathrooms, please list them in the message section of this blog post. #GottaGo
